About the Phone

Realme has become the fourth largest smartphone brand in the market by offering premium looks and features to those who seek the best within a limited budget. It is not surprising to find Realme phones among all Indian lists of Best Phones Under 20000.

Features

Launched in August 2019, Realme 5 Pro has quickly captured everyone’s imagination. The most obvious reason is the inherent ability of Realme to offer something no other brand has- a Quad Camera! With a 48 MP main Sony sensor combined with 8 MP Wide-Angle lens + 2 MP Portrait Lens + 2 MP Macro Lens, it is evident Realme 5 Pro has reached for the stars when it comes to the photography needs of modern smartphone users. Sharper pictures, clearer details, authentic real-life color tones, and professional-camera-level scenery are just some of the perks to be expected in this camera set-up.

Even night photography is a delight with the help of Super Nightscape mode that enables HDR. Macro photography is going to be a delight with 4 cm focus on its Ultra Macro Lens, not to mention features like Bokeh will keep every photographer on their toes. Of course, the camera takes a little bit of extra time to focus and pictures come out heavier than in any standard camera set-up. However, these are minor cribbings. The 16 MP front camera is no slouch either and is poised to be a favorite among all selfie lovers. For video lovers, it has 4K video recording enabled.

Coming to its performance, it possesses octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 AIE that promises blazing fast and lag-less speed, especially while playing games. It stays cool even when playing intensive graphics-heavy games for long hours. With 8 GB RAM and 64 GB of storage right out of the box (expandable up to 256 GB), it offers seamless performance for all daily tasks. The 4035 mAh battery lasts long and when it starts to get low on juice VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 refuels it lightning fast. Imagine completely charging up your phone in less than one and a half hours and then an uninterrupted whole day of watching movies or playing games, that’s truly the miracle of technology!

The large 6.3-inch FDH+ screen offers a 90.6% screen-to-body ratio that offers bright and sharp viewing experience even under direct sunlight. It is an excellent display boasting of all standard features as found in other phones of this segment, however, it falls just a little bit short of completely immersive experience. The Corning Gorilla Glass 5 provides the standard level of protection.

Looks-wise, Realme 5 Pro does look stylish with its Crystal Design, an update on diamond-cut gradient style that is in vogue with almost every smartphone brand nowadays. It feels light yet solid in hand. The same cannot be said about its UI that feels a little cluttered with multiple programs & pre-installed apps that one simply cannot get rid of. There is a reason many gadget enthusiasts are not happy with custom UI and these pushy apps magnify that.

For those in tune with the latest safety measures, Realme Pro 5 is equipped with Face Recognition, Fingerprint Sensor and even a Private Safe for ensuring the privacy of photos, documents, etc.

Looking at all the features provided by Realme Pro 5, whether it be a seamless gaming experience or a wonderful camera or big screen or plain solid yet premium look, it is safe to say that this could very well turn out to be a flagship killer at this price-point.

About the phone

Xiaomi has created ripples in India's smartphone arena from the very beginning. However, it has also been plagued with complaints about its MIUI platform. To counter that, Xiaomi launched its Mi series with Android One option in 2017 and in August 2019, Mi A3 became the latest entrant.

Features

For those in love with Xiaomi as a brand but not able to make peace with the pesky ads and bloatware in MIUI, Xiaomi Mi A3 brings the joys of experiencing Android 9 Pie right out of the box. No more unnecessary apps or unwanted third-party applications to trouble a pure gadget lover's soul. Google Assistant and Digital Wellbeing make a welcome entrance here with guaranteed regular software and security updates.

All this is bundled nicely in a well-designed ergonomic package. The 3D gradient curve on the back is super-classy while the compact and lightweight design makes it easy to operate it with one hand even in busy places. The back panel has a glass + plastic finish with triple Corning Glass 5 protection (front + back + camera lens) that makes it feel very stable and durable. It is available in White, Blue and Grey colors that are each stunning to behold. Truly this is one of the best design schemes for any smartphone in this price range.

The only place it kind of falters is in terms of its screen, which is 6.088-inch Super AMOLED dot drop HD+ display instead of Full HD that is offered by almost all its competitors. The screen is good enough but the lack of FHD comes in focus on playing graphics-intensive games or watching high-resolution videos or even under direct sunlight.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core is powerful enough for providing decently high scores on every benchmark test. Multi-tasking and playing games such as PUBG are easy enough, though the body seems to warm up a bit after long gaming sessions and the screen does not offer a Full HD immersive experience. But for day-to-day tasks, there is no cause for complaint when it comes to performance. For privacy buffs, there is a Fingerprint Sensor located In-Screen rather than in the rear panel of the body.

AI Face Unlock is another standard feature included here. And for those worrying about battery issues, fret not as 4030 mAh battery ensures that one full charge lasts at least one full day of intensive tasks. The battery charging process can be speeded up via an 18W fast charger if one wishes to invest in it.

Photography enthusiasts will be happy with the Triple Rear Camera setup of 48 MP primary Sony lens accompanied with 8 MP 118-degrees Wide-Angle Lens and 2 MP Depth Sensor. This is a great configuration for taking beautiful photos in most conditions and a plethora of features that are standard at this price point, enhance the sharpness and clarity of each photo. It is only in low light conditions that one may need to exhibit some patience while the lens takes some extra time for adjusting itself.

Night Mode works nicely here. For selfie lovers, 32 MP front camera suffices with good photos, especially with its AI Beautify feature. Overall, the camera helps Xiaomi Mi A3 stand out as an excellent investment in this price range, especially for someone who considers everyday photography as the main reason for upgrading the smartphone.

Looking at the painless stock Android experience, great camera configuration, durable classy build, and excellent everyday performance, Xiaomi Mi A3 can be called one of the Best Android Phones Under 20000.

About the phone

Xiaomi created a ripple in the Indian smartphone arena by launching Redmi Note 7 Pro in February 2019 and it is full of so many premium features that many gadget lovers consider it the Best Android Phone Under 20000. It is Xiaomi's undisputed Flagship and we will see the reasons for the same here.

Features

The gadget enthusiasts seem to unanimously agree that its Camera is its biggest USP, generally considered the best at this price point. 48 MP Rear Camera with 5 MP Depth Sensor, loaded with all expected features such as Bokeh, Night Photography, Studio Lighting and more, clicks excellent photos with clarity and sharpness. The Night Mode especially does a better job than any of Redmi Note 7 Pro's competitors. Every detail is captured wonderfully.

Selfie lovers have an equal reason for happiness with 13 MP Front Camera creating sharp visual memories with AI Beautification, AI Portrait Mode and AI Studio Lighting making every click better. Even video lovers have 4K video recording and features such as Slo-Mo Recording to feel happy about. In short, this camera is perhaps the biggest reason to switch to Xiaomi.

All the photos and videos are a pleasure to browse through on its 6.3-inches Full HD+ screen that is equipped with a dot notch for an immersive experience especially while playing games. Gaming performance is exemplary with the help of Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 Octa-core processor. Multi-tasking and intensive gaming sessions are smooth, the only little drawback being the heating issue of the body after particularly long gaming sessions.

Still, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage right out of the box (expandable to 6 GB and 256 GB) are good configurations for any number of daily tasks. This is supported by a 4000 mAh battery that lasts long and gets recharged faster with Qualcomm Quick Charge Technology.

The build quality of Redmi Note 7 Pro is outstanding, the shiny reflective rear surface making it look way more premium than the segment it belongs to! It feels solid and durable to hold, with some special attention needed to keep the shiny surface free from dirt and dust.

Corning Gorilla Glass 5 provides ample protection from falls, reinforced corners protect it adequately from cracking and there is an added layer of safety for minor liquid splashes around it. For those concerned with personal security, rear-mounted Fingerprint Sensor is quite quick while AI Face Unlock does the job satisfactorily too in normal light conditions.

The biggest grudge most users hold against Redmi Note 7 Pro is regarding its MIUI platform that is filled with unnecessary bloatware, in-house apps and irritating ads within the interface. It is an arduous process to force-stop or disable them all and not appreciated by those who are used to the convenience of simple yet secure Android One.

Moreover, customization and personalization are also a bit tricky to figure out here for those who have never used a Xiaomi offering earlier. MIUI has proved to be an acquired taste that needs major adjustments to be universally palatable.

Overall, even with minor crib points, Redmi Note 7 Pro has made it to the top thanks to its impressive build, excellent camera, steady gaming experience, and long battery life. All of this at an unbelievable price has started the latest round of smartphone wars in India!

About the phone

There are many smartphone brands competing in the mid-range arena for the attention of consumers. Vivo, in its last 9 years of presence, has managed to turn into one of India's biggest smartphone brands with its promise of continuous trendsetting innovation aimed at the youngsters. Vivo Z1 Pro aims to please the gaming crowd and gain the title of Best Gaming Phone Under 20000. On the side, it also tries to make a dent in the massive loyalty experienced by Redmi Note 7 Pro.

Features

From the word go, Vivo Z1 Pro has a captivating design. The rear panel, even though made of plastic, has a glossy gradient 3D curve that makes for premium jewel-like appearance. Ergonomically it is a little bit broader than expected and the rear-mounted Fingerprint Sensor is difficult to reach with one-hand-use. The good thing is that it is not flimsy to look at or even to hold.

Boasting of Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 AIE processor with 6 GB RAM, Vivo Z1 Pro just might have the best chipset among all its competitors. It ranks higher on all benchmarks, does everyday tasks with ease, stuttering and lagging seem a thing of past and high-end gaming is a non-stop delight. With the help of 4D Gaming Vibration, AI Turbo, Cooling Turbo, and Gaming Turbo, performance (gaming or otherwise) is elevated to new heights in Z1 Pro.

Combine this with its massive 5000 mAh battery that lasts forever and comes with an 18W Dual Engine Fast Charging technology, and it is clear why this might be considered as the ultimate gaming smartphone in this segment in India.

It is the FunTouch OS that is a bit of an issue for someone who has never used it before as it is completely different from most other UIs and needs some getting used to. Those who are used to the convenience of clean and frills-free Android experience will get frustrated with all the bloatware. This is one area of improvement. But once the bloatware is removed, it works smoothly and seamlessly.

A huge 6.53-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio brings clarity, sharpness, and vibrancy to all visual tasks. There is an AI Triple Rear Camera setup that is fast becoming the new standard in this segment. A 16 MP main camera with 2 MP depth sensor and 8 MP Super-Wide-Angle lens is good enough to capture beautiful photos with clarity and details.

In low-light, the photographs do carry some noise but it can still be considered above average. The real shining moment is its 32 MP front camera that takes splendid photos which can be further enhanced with the help of AI Face Beauty.

It is clear that Vivo Z1 Pro has taken care of every basic parameter that consumers want from a stable everyday use smartphone and then enhanced it all for hardcore gamers as well. With brilliant battery, unmatched gaming capability and fast performance, it is sure to stay for a long time on the Best Phones Under 20000 list.

About the phone

Oppo has consistently been featured among the Top 5 smartphone brands in India on the back of its focus on striking designs as well as a solid performance. When it launched Oppo K3 in July 2019, it created a buzz due to the striking similarity to Realme X. Over time, it has also managed to carve its own niche in the phones under 20000 segment.

Features

Made of polycarbonate material, the Oppo K3 manages to look absolutely ravishing thanks to its premium dual-tone glossy finish plus radian shape with 3D curved rear. It is quite snug to fit in one hand and easy to use though it doesn't feel as lightweight as some of its competitors. The display screen is a thing of beauty with full-view, nearly bezel-less, immersive experience on a 6.5-inch panoramic FHD+ AMOLED screen with 91.91% Screen-To-Body Ratio.

In-screen hidden Fingerprint Unlock does work faster as promised. Brightness, colors, sharpness, sunlight legibility, viewing angles, absolutely nothing is compromised on this lovely display that is amply protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. A memorable visual pleasure, every time.

With Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core paired with 6 GB RAM at the helm, everyday tasks are processed in a buttery smooth way. Switching between multiple tabs, supremely fast browsing, opening resource-hungry apps and playing high-end games such as Asphalt 9, are all managed without any trouble in Oppo K3.

There are no heating issues either. With its power-efficient processor, Frame Boost, Game Boost, and Dolby Atmos 3D sound, it is one of the most powerful gaming smartphones around. The 3765 mAh battery is good enough to last through a day for most users, even though a minimum of 4000 mAh is needed for such a splendid phone.

The good news is that the charging process is superfast with the help of VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge that works in the background even in the midst of a gaming session.

The ColorOS 6 brings a ton of pre-installed apps or bloatware most of which can be uninstalled through a mildly cumbersome process. There are no irritating ad pop-ups or notifications throughout the day, so that is a relief. It does not take much to learn the ropes here. Overall it provides for suitably fast and snappy user experience.

Finally, Oppo K3 is equipped with a 16 MP primary camera combined with 2 MP depth sensor, and a 16 MP pop-up front camera for selfie lovers. While the specifications in this department do not sound extraordinary, it translates into bright and pleasing real-life photos. With modes like Slo-Mo, Timelapse and features like Dazzle Color, HDR, Chroma Boost, all the photos come out with rich details and good color tones. Portrait Mode in front camera is the only feature that needs an urgent update.

Low-light photography disappoints in most camera phones in this range and here it is above average. Ultra Night Mode reduces noise in photos clicked in low-light and makes them brighter but sacrifices some details in the process. Still, it comes across as one of the best camera phone setup in a mid-range smartphone.

In the final analysis, Oppo K3 manages to check most of the right boxes for users looking for a stylish yet powerful smartphone below 20000. With premium looks, stunning display, excellent camera, and fast performance, it is bound to be a long-term favorite of all gadget lovers.

About the phone

Once upon a time, in the Indian gadget hinterland, Samsung was considered the only brand to lo and behold. Even today many users consider Samsung as the most stable, durable and trustworthy brand. Riding on its successful capture of the Indian smartphone market over a decade ago, Samsung launched the Galaxy M series in 2019 to give a tough competition to all the Chinese brands that have completely overtaken the market today. A slew of technological innovation combined with hallmark Samsung durability is what it is banking on to bring back its glory days once more. Samsung Galaxy M30 seems like the perfect right step in this direction.

Features

The distinctive Samsung design and build makes an appearance in its Galaxy M range with M30 sporting a sleek well-rounded, curved edge look with a dual-tone gradient plastic rear panel. It looks smart and simple and feels durable to hold. The screen is big but does not make the phone bulky, it remains lightweight, even though the Fingerprint Unlock button seems a bit out of reach when indulging in one-hand-use. The good thing is that the rear panel is not a magnet for dirt or smudges. Still, it will be good to invest in a good cover for the rear panel to jazz things up in the design section.

The front display is what will warm the hearts of most smartphone users with a good 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen. Samsung calls it 'Infinity U' Display thanks to a greater than 90% screen ratio and 19.5:9 aspect ratio for truly spectacular viewing experience. What's more, it is easy to tweak display settings for a personalized experience, ranging from AMOLED Photo, AMOLED Cinema to Basic and Adaptive Display modes. For most tasks and everyday usage, Adaptive Display turns out to be the most versatile. The viewing angles are fine and colors are crisp here. Sunlight legibility is where it struggles just a bit but not enough to give any anxiety. The vibrant display does seem to be a crown jewel in Samsung Galaxy M30's arsenal.

The camera set up is fairly easy to use. There is a Triple Rear Camera design here to keep M30 at par with its biggest competitors. A 13 MP Primary Camera + 5 MP Depth Sensor + 5 MP Ultra-Wide-Angle Lens together make up a good trio to click beautiful pictures time after time. 16 MP Front Camera is more than adequate for taking priceless selfies. Panorama, Pro, Live Focus, Beauty and more modes, as well as features, populate the app to let amateurs play around and get the most out of every click.

The low-light or night photography is where most smartphones falter and Samsung is no exception. Even indoor photography exhibits decreased details and increased noise or distortion. At this price point, Galaxy M30 does quite an admirable job churning out photos with above-average clarity, sharpness, and details in bright light/daylight photography. The photos look even better on its sparkling display screen.

As far as performance goes, Samsung Exynos 7904 octa-core processor provides a decent one but not one that can be called blazing-fast. It is enough for daily tasks of browsing, messaging, uploading photos and opening multi-tabs but once in a blue moon, a little bit of sputtering is very much noticeable. When it comes to gaming, light games are fine but high-end graphics-intensive games like PUBG and Asphalt 9 can only be played on medium or low settings.

There is also a little heating issue that starts to surface when the processor is loaded with heavy-duty gaming or similar tasks. Needless to say, hardcore gamers will be happy looking somewhere else whereas normal daily users will find the functioning satisfactorily smooth. Privacy buffs will be happy with both Fingerprint Scanner as well as Fast Face Unlock features. Those whose priority includes a massive battery will be happy with its massive 5000 mAh battery that comfortably lasts almost 2 days on a single charge if one does not indulge in any sort of heavy gaming.

Samsung loyalists will find its Samsung Experience UI however the presence of outdated Android 8.1 Oreo is a thorn here. Even Samsung Experience is riddled with a bunch of unneeded pre-installed apps and spam notifications every couple of hours. It will take a newcomer to the Samsung ecosystem some time to deal with these distractions and set up a smooth UI. With updates to the latest Android version, this little crib should be resolved soon.

Even though Samsung Galaxy M30 does not pack a lot of high-end features or blazing fast performance, it touches all the sweet spots for a light-to-moderate everyday usage need and with some little modifications, it will surely improve its ranking among the Best Android Phones Under 20000.

About the phone

No discussion about best smartphones in India is complete without talking about at least one offering from Realme that has captured everyone's attention in a very small time. Alongside Xiaomi, it makes up the most powerful duo of India's smartphone war that is heating up every day. Realme X is the flagship that has become a guiding star for many other brands while designing and launching their budget smartphones in the mid-range segment.

Features

The only expression that comes to mind about Realme X's design is - 'struck with awe'. Slim and sturdy, it has a very comfortable grip. The body, though made of polycarbonate, has a much more premium feel due to the neat space inspired 3D S patterned arched rear panel. In-Display Fingerprint Scanner and Pop-Up Selfie Camera ensure that the front display is distraction free. As a result, it is perhaps the best display screen one could ever imagine.

Large FHD + 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with nearly nil bezel and 91.2% screen-to-body ratio brings it at par with display screens of brands at a much higher price range. Brightness, sharpness, clarity, colors and sunlight legibility are all top-notch here and will make this a must-have for any visual enthusiast. After all, watching movies or gaming is an utterly enjoyable experience on this screen.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core chipset combined with upto 8 GB RAM makes this one beast of a machine, whether it be for daily ordinary tasks or graphic-intensive gaming. Every application runs smooth as butter. Opening multiple applications and switching from one app to another brings forth no problems no matter how many apps are operating in the background.

No lags, no stuttering, no crashing or freezing and certainly no heating even after long hours of continuous operation. Even though Snapdragon 710 is not the latest processor, it has amazing integrated graphic capabilities and power efficiency to handle the heaviest of loads without losing a beat.

While 3756 mAh battery in itself is not very impressive, when combined with VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge, it gives access to plenty of fuel on the go even for hardcore gamers. Hyper Boost, Game Boost and Game Space are some additional features to entice the gamers into considering Realme X as one of the best gaming phones under 20000 in India.

For those new to the Realme ecosystem, its ColorOS might feel a bit spammy filled with umpteen notifications from pre-installed bunch of apps. With a little work however they can be uninstalled and personalization can be done. Admirers of Stock Android experience might find it a little longer to adjust to this but with time, Realme should come up with more polished versions of its UI.

A 48 MP Primary Camera combined with 5 MP depth sensor complete the Dual Rear Camera setup that is a powerful duo for all photography needs. Accurate color reproduction, minimal distortion or noise, authentic clarity and details are seen in all photos taken during daylight. Modes such as HDR, Chroma Boost and Super NightScape ensure pictures turn out more than decent even in low-light conditions, something most smartphone cameras struggle with in this price range.

Even selfies come out pleasing with its 16 MP front camera and AI beautification feature is always helpful in improving images to the content of one's heart. Some consider the inclusion of a 'wide-angle lens' a necessity in every flagship phone nowadays. They might be disappointed a bit here but honestly, the camera app works fine for every amateur photography needs, both micro and macro. Even though this is not the best smartphone camera ever, it is an excellent one in this budget.

With striking looks, fast performance, superb gaming experience and excellent camera, all packaged within an unbelievable budget, Realme X deserves to be called the most disruptive flagship that is going to climb higher in the days to come.

About the phone

When it comes to phones, an entire generation grew up hearing one name Nokia. At its highest point, there was at least one Nokia handset in every house in India. After a series of missteps in a rapidly changing technological world, Nokia is back in the game with several impressive models in budget, midrange and flagship segments. Nokia 8.1 was launched at the end of 2018 and has already won accolades from various tech enthusiasts for building a solid smartphone under 20000 in India.

Features

Nokia has always been renowned for its durable build quality. Ask any college student from 2000s, Nokia phones were always famous for having a 'tank-like' indestructible quality. The same has been replicated in Nokia 8.1. There isn't a more stable and solidly built smartphone out there. Simple, no frills, no shining distractions, this is a seamless blend of aluminium + glass + steel that makes it standout from the crowd effortlessly.

Corning Gorilla Glass protects the body and the rear panel feels heavy to hold. Though it is not lightweight, the satisfaction of having something so sturdy is a plus point in today's world where flimsy exteriors abound in many smartphones. It is easy to grip and work on one-hand basis.

The display carries forward happy thoughts with its 6.18-inch Full HD+ PureDisplay that brings extra sharpness, brightness and authentic color reproductions to the screen. The PureView adds an extra shine to every photo or video watched on this screen and is unmatched by any competitor. Some people might be bothered by the notch at top, especially now when most upcoming smartphones are moving towards pop-up front cameras to eliminate notches. But it does not interfere much with the pleasure of edge-to-edge clarity on this brilliant HDR10-ready PureDisplay screen.

Using Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor has brought Nokia 8.1 in the same category as some of the biggest flagships by other brands. Combined with 4 GB RAM, it ensures non-stop multitasking and gaming. There are no lags, stutters or heating issues while browsing through multiple tabs or opening memory/graphic-intensive apps. High-end gaming is also a smooth experience. The HDR display makes watching movies and gaming especially delightful, a feat not easily offered by its competitors.

The Pure Android experience gives gadget lovers another reason to check Nokis 8.1 out as it is free of any spammy apps, bloatware, unnecessary pre-installed programs and lets the user enjoy a clean, secure, intuitive gesture-based UI with regular software + security updates. Even a novice to smartphone world would find it easy to learn the intricacies through this smooth & streamlined interface.

On paper, the 3500 mAh battery may seem to be the only mildly disappointing feature here as many of its competitors have moved on to 4000 or even 5000 mAh batteries that last longer and charge faster. However, it uses Adaptive Battery feature from its Android 9 Pie platform to boost up the efficiency of this battery and lasts a day on full charge so for most users it should suffice as a good bargain at this price.

Zeiss Optics Lens are world-famous for providing high-quality images even at low resolutions and Nokia has always had a special relationship with them even in its budget phones. Here a 12 MP Zeiss Primary Lens combined its 13 MP Sensor click stunning photos in daylight conditions. There are plenty of modes and features to play with, be it Panorama, HDR or Bokeh.

Colors are sharp, there is minimal to nil noise or distortion, vibrancy is full tilt. However, the only place it does falter is the lack of a dedicated night mode. As a result, low-light or night photography quality is disappointing. A lot of its competitors disappoint in night photography even with the presence of a night mode. Imagine what Nokia could create if it decided to combine the brilliance of Zeiss Optics with a solid night mode!

The 20 MP front camera is fantastic in every condition and its AI Beautification feature is off by default so the selfies do not come out looking 'made-up' or extremely artificial. The Portrait Mode here is another well-executed feature as it combines accurate detailing with authentic color and brightness reproduction.

Overall, Nokia 8.1 shows once more the reason behind its immense goodwill and recall ability among Indian consumers. It is an extremely sturdily built phone with some high-end flagship-level features at a budget price point. No wonder it has bagged the position of one of the Best Android Phones Under 20000.

About the phone

After Redmi Note 7 Pro started the latest round of smartphone wars in India, Realme launched Realme 3 Pro in April 2019 to provide a clear competitor for the top spot of Best Phone Under 20000. It managed to create a ripple too for all the right reasons. Let us look at these reasons in detail.

Features

At first glance itself, the build and display prove to be durable, classy, lightweight and premium. The easy-to-hold rear design is inspired by legendary speedway at Le-Mans and has a gradient finish that makes it stand out in a crowded market. The display screen is almost the same as its predecessor Realme 2 Pro with a 6.3-inches dewdrop screen possessing a 90.8% aspect ratio.

This makes it possible for every visual task to be a truly immersive experience, even under direct sunlight. Nowhere is this more visible than while gaming. Even intensive gaming sessions are as enjoyable as if they are being played on a gaming console!

Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core makes watching movies, gaming, and multitasking, in general, a breeze as it is the latest when it comes to blazing-fast speed. Every benchmark proves that users of Realme Pro 3 can expect completely lag-free and seamless performance as Snapdragon 720 is more power efficient as well as has better integrated graphics capabilities compared to any of its competitors.

The Hyper Boost 2.0 provides much-needed better stabilization and faster gaming when playing graphics-heavy games. The best part of gaming here is that the body does not heat up even after long gaming sessions. And when it comes to battery, 4045 mAh is a beast that lasts more than a day on one full charge. VOOC 3.0 Flash Charger also makes it easy to recharge fast even while on-the-go. 50% charge within half an hour, nothing short of a miracle in modern times.

Corning Gorilla Glass 5 provides standard protection to the display. Fingerprint Sensor and AI Face Recognition round up the inclusion of standard privacy features. Coming to its camera setup, Realme has tried to bring flagship-level features at a tight budget. 16 MP with Sony flagship sensor and its associate 5 MP depth sensor take pretty cool photos, be it daylight or night. There is plenty of detail, sharpness, contrast, and brightness in each photo to be happy about.

The Nightscape mode makes night-time photography quite a good experience. With features such as Bokeh and HDR, it is easy to capture nice images daily. The 25 MP front camera is an attractive proposition for every selfie lover. AI Beautification feature helps create better selfie images even in low-light conditions. Modes such as Timelapse and Slo-Mo give every photographer plenty to play with. 4K video recording is possible albeit without stabilization. Overall, the camera app is very easy and intuitive to use. Wish the same could be said about its UI that frankly feels a little outdated and comes equipped with bloatware that take some time to remove completely.

With a durable design, long-lasting battery, powerful processor and excellent front camera capabilities, all at very down-to-earth prices, it is clear how much planning has gone into making Realme 3 Pro a true winner on all counts. Every smartphone lover should check it out.

About the phone

As a company, Motorola always signified tough and resilient phones. In the smartphone arena, in recent years, it had to take a back seat due to cut-throat competition and blazing innovation by other brands. It was very recently that Motorola entered the race to the top once more with the introduction of its Motorola One-Series. Motorola One Action is its latest offering and according to many gadget lovers, it is the one to watch out.

Features

The design scheme of Motorola One Action is almost a replica of its predecessor Motorola One Vision, in a good way. The body is made of plastic but the finish is premium glossy and makes it look like glass. The frame is tall, lightweight and compact to fit comfortably in one's hand. The length of the frame makes it a little difficult to operate it with one hand in crowded places.

The rear panel has curved edges and is quite understated, nothing to compare with the gradient-cut or crystal or prism designs most other brands are adopting nowadays. Yet, for those who love simplicity, this is quite cool, especially with the trademark Batwing Motorola logo in the rear also serving as its Fingerprint Sensor.

The 6.3-inches elongated FHD+ display has an LCD screen in a 21:9 aspect ratio that provides for really clear and bright viewing angles. The main advantage is the truly immersive experience while watching videos because Motorola has positioned One Action as a phone made for those who love to shoot and watch movies. This however also means that a lot of old apps or videos that do not support a 21:9 ratio come across malpositioned. But hopefully, this will be taken care of by the app developers while updating them.

As for Motorola, they have delivered marvelously on their promise. It is a visual treat to read books, watch videos, browse the net or multi-task with multiple tabs on this extra-wide ratio display.

While the world is going ga-ga over 48 MP (or more) camera setups, Motorola One Action sticks to a 12 MP primary lens ably complemented with a 5 MP depth sensor that takes good pictures in ample light. The colors, clarity, and sharpness are decent. It is only in night photography that the camera struggles and takes photos with lots of noise.

The outstanding feature here is a 16 MP ultra-wide-angle Action Camera, a dedicated video lens that takes unbeatable videos with Electronic Image Stabilization doing a great job under most conditions. Motorola has made it possible for videos to be captured in landscape mode even when holding the phone in portrait mode. For selfie lovers, the front 12 MP camera does a decent job by clicking clear pictures reproducing natural skin tones better than most other smartphone cameras in the market.

Standing out from the crowd demands taking unique decisions and Motorola does this by fitting Samsung Exynos 9609 octa-core processor rather than the much-in-vogue snapdragon favored by almost all its competitors. Even though it does not score highly on most standard benchmark tests, it multitasks with ease and daily browsing is a delight.

Even playing games such as Mortal Combat is quite an admirable experience here as One Action neither stutters nor lags. It doesn't heat up after long hours of gaming either. All this because the processor is paired with Android One that comes without any bloatware so the user experience is extremely fast. The only thing that can be improved is the battery which, at 3500 mAh, is just decent and lasts less than a day if lots of memory-intensive tasks are performed on a daily basis.

Overall, Motorola One Action offers solid basics, clean user experience, durable design, and unmatched video recording + viewing capability that makes it mandatory for every smartphone user to check it out.
